JCP Welcomes New Hebrew School Director

JCP Welcomes Erin Beser, our new Hebrew School Director!

Erin is a creative educator with extensive experience in both formal and informal Jewish educational settings. Most recently, she served as a teacher and administrator at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester. As Director of Experiential Learning, she partnered with middle school students to create engaging programs, empowering them to take leadership roles and shape their own learning experiences. She helped teachers develop authentic experiences within the curriculum. She also taught MaGLab (Mishnah and Gemara Laboratory) and Practical Torah, integrative, inquiry-based elective courses for middle school students and adults.

Prior to this, Erin spent four years as the Director of Youth and Family Education at Temple Israel Center of White Plains. She supervised, mentored and collaborated with staff to develop a variety of learning experiences for teens, young couples, and young professionals.

Erin holds undergraduate degrees in Jewish History from the Jewish Theological Society (JTS), and in Writing – Literature from Columbia University, and earned an M.A. in Hebrew Culture from Tel Aviv University.
