8 Ways to Celebrate Hanukkah with JCP

JCP is your Downtown home for Hanukkah! Come together for one of our many holiday services or celebrations to experience the festival of lights with your family and friends. All events are open to the community – and many our free of charge!

1. Donate new blankets, stuffed animals and children’s books to our Project Night Night collection drive from December 1 to 15.

2. Welcome Shabbat at Friday Evening Services with a pre-Hanukkah Oneg Shabbat snack on December 1.

3. Sing in the holiday spirit at It’s Almost Hanukkah Tot Shabbat on December 2.

4. Taste the sweetest treats at the 4th Annual JCP YOUTH 678 Doughnut Crawl on December 9.

5. Welcome the holiday at Downtown Lights: Community Candle Lighting in Washington Market Park on December 12.

6. Wake up at Hanukkah Hoopla with puppets, songs, arts & crafts and a PJ Library Book Nook for children up to age 5 on December 16.

7. Spin with friends at HSP’s Dreidel Spin Off with a dreidel design competition, games, and singing for youth in grades 3-6 and their families on December 18

8. Light up the 8th night at Candles & Cocktails, an adult night out at Puffy’s Tavern on December 19.
