Now that our year-long Maccabiah (Competition) has begun, we decided to get the ball rolling with a Rosh Hashanah-themed Game Show! Amazing learning took place in each of our classroom learning spaces.
Then grades competed in a unique Game Show – Scales of Fortune! First, we shared a traditional Jewish text that describes how the scales of the entire world can be tipped by one positive action and how during this season of Rosh Hashanah we reflect on all of our deeds and choose to perform actions that tip the scales of the world towards goodness and righteousness.
Throughout the competition, the score tipped towards one grade or another as they competed in events that reinforced their content learning of Rosh Hashanah.
We hope that this year the scales tip towards all of us, overflowing with good deeds like the seeds of a pomegranate, an abundance of health, success, satisfaction, curiosity and learning. Shanah Tovah to you and your family!
