Welcome to the Early Childhood Center!

Our Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a school for young learners in the heart of Tribeca, growing all areas of a child’s development through play-based learning. Our programs emphasize joyful Jewish experiences and values and a connection to community in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Educational Philosophy

Children benefit from flexibility within structure; we want children to have the freedom to experiment and investigate, while at the same time feeling the security of appropriate boundaries. We work hand-in-hand with parents to form partnerships of trust and establish consistency between home and school, understanding that supporting the family is essential to supporting the child.

The JCP Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides children and families opportunities to explore Jewish culture and deepen their sense of individual identity.

The program emphasizes a child-centered approach to Jewish learning, fostering engagement with both the similarities and differences of belief and practice each child brings to the classroom. Through meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences, children build a sense of their own identity and an appreciation for community and diversity.

The ECC is recognized as a high quality, comprehensive program that successfully engages children in the learning process. Our exceedingly experienced, professional staff and specialist team provide a nurturing environment.

Through a skills-based and process-oriented framework, our integrated curriculum incorporates Jewish values and celebrates each child’s uniqueness. Our program and personalized ongoing school guidance sets our children up for their best future.

“JCP is fortunate to benefit from a talented team of educators and administrators who bring years of experience in early childhood education to our school.”
