2022 PURIM EVENTS

Purim Carnival & Shpiel Performance

Sunday, March 8, 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Tribeca Synagogue

Celebrate Purim with JCP at our annual Carnival & Shpiel Performance! Families with children ten and under are invited to dress in costume to enjoy carnival games, arts and crafts, fun prizes, cotton candy, hamantaschen, and more. Friends and family will also have the chance to watch the Purim Shpiel, an original musical performance by JCP youth and led by musical theater professional, shpiel script writer, and shpiel director Tegan Miller. Carnival from 2 – 3:45 pm
Musical Performance by Dan Nadel from 3:50 – 4:20 pm
Purim Shpiel from 4:30 – 5 pm

Carnival booths will be run by HSP students and adult volunteers. If you or your child(ren) are interested in helping, contact Daphne Logan to sign up for a half hour shift. We greatly appreciate your help!

Hidden Figures (of Purim!)

Monday, March 9 | 6:30 – 8 pm at JCP Downtown

Gather together for merriment and a Megillah reading to celebrate the holiday! Play and participate in Purim games, trivia, and contests. Community members, including middle and high school students, will chant from the Megillah and share the story of brave Queen Esther. Costumes encouraged!

Participants will be entered into a free raffle upon arrival for the chance to win a hidden figures-themed prize! Winner will be called at the end of the evening. Don’t miss out! RSVP

6:30 – 7:15 pm Community-wide Megillah reading and festivities
7:15 – 8 pm Oneg for families, plus special activities for Project Gadol
