Margrit Wiesendanger is a rheumatologist at the Mount Sinai Hospital, where she divides her time between caring for ambulatory patients in the faculty practice and the hospital-based clinic, and consulting in the care of hospitalized patients. She also serves as the program director for the rheumatology fellowship training program and precepts small group sessions for students of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Margrit received her MD-PhD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Yeshiva University) in the discipline of immunology, and completed her residency and fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia campus. She has lived in Tribeca with her husband Dan, a neuroradiologist at Mount Sinai West, since 2002. Their children Joey and Izzy are alumni of the ECC and current Project Gadol/Project Bet students, respectively.
